Soul, Mind and Body 4-Disc Box Set

Welcome to "Soul, Mind and Body", the 5th. solo offering from world renown drummer and band leader, Russ Miller. It is comprised of 18 new studio recordings (over 3 EP's) and a 90-minute, "Live In Concert" Blu-Ray from the tour. This 4-disc box set is a monumental musical journey that took over 7 years to complete. Russ elaborates, "The Pandemic, three different moves (business and personal) and three new business ventures (companies) would prove very taxing for me to finish this record in a timely manner. Even though my largest solo project to date (the original "Arrival" record released in 2007) was the huge undertaking with 30 superstar musicians recorded in four countries.... this one dwarfed it, especially the "start to finish span of work." The concept: Choose a series of songs that were influential to Russ' (and the other players) development. Then, use the skills and approaches gathered from these pieces, to re-imagine them with current musical outlooks and approaches. Russ adds, "I wanted to revisit those great songs that showed us the path... and ask yourself, what would we play for them now, using their gained influences? The "Trinity" of Soul, Mind and Body is translated to musical development, such as "Awareness, intention and reflection". Let's journey through these great pieces of music. We will focus on the "awareness" of their lessons, with the "intention" of our earned artistry and a new performance of them, with the "reflection" of what all of these great songs and artists brought to our development." Soul Mind and Body features guests appearances of legendary musicians like Ernie Watts, Ellis Hall, Tony Monaco and Stephanie Spurill, joining the long-time touring "Arrival Trio" of Russ, Jerry Watts and Rick Krive.
